- 전시서문 -

이 전시는 영남대학교라는 하나의 장소이자 맥락을 출발점으로 삼아, 

비즈랩 멤버 각자가 자신만의 시선과 해석을 통해 IP로 확장해 나간 기록이다.

학교는 단순한 배경이 아니라, 기억과 경험, 공간과 상징, 제도와 일상이 중첩된 

복합적인 텍스트이며, 이 전시는 그 텍스트를 읽고 다시 쓰는 과정에서 시작되었다.

비즈랩 멤버들은 영남대학교를 관찰하고, 해석하고, 질문했다. 

어떤 이는 공간의 구조에서 이야기를 발견했고, 어떤 이는 학교에 축적된 시간과 감정, 

혹은 개인의 경험에서 출발했다. 그렇게 수집된 단서들은 캐릭터, 세계관, 서사, 

그래픽 시스템 등 다양한 형태의 IP로 재구성되었다. 

이 과정은 '만드는 것' 이전에 정의하고 해석하는 디자인의 태도를 요구했다.

이 전시는 완성된 결과물만을 나열하지 않는다. 

아이디어가 형성되고 수정되며, 흔들리고 확장되는 과정 그 자체를 

중요한 디자인의 일부로 제시한다. 스케치, 기록, 실험, 실패와 선택의 흔적들은 

하나의 IP가 어떻게 태어나고 구조화되는지를 보여주는 또 다른 결과물이다.

영남대학교에서 출발한 이 IP들은 다시 학교를 넘어, 

각자의 방향으로 확장될 가능성을 품고 있다.

 이 전시는 비즈랩 멤버들이 만든 IP의 현재이자, 앞으로 이어질 서사의 시작점이다.

 관람자는 이 공간에서 완결된 답보다, 계속해서 확장될 질문과 가능성을 마주하게 될 것이다.

- Exhibition Introduction -

This exhibition records how VIZLAB members expanded 

their unique perspectives into IP, using Yeungnam University as 

their primary context. Rather than a mere backdrop, 

the university is treated as a complex text of memories, spaces, 

and daily life—a text that the members have read and rewritten.

Through observation and interpretation,

 VIZLAB members reconstructed gathered clues into diverse 

IPs, including characters, narratives, and graphic systems. 

This process emphasizes the design attitude of 

"defining and interpreting" before the act of creation.

We do not simply display finished results. Instead, 

we present the process itself—sketches, experiments, and 

failures—as a vital part of the design. 

These traces reveal how an IP is born and structured.

This exhibition marks both the present state of VIZLAB’s IPs 

and the beginning of a narrative that extends beyond the campus. 

Here, visitors will encounter expanding possibilities 

rather than fixed answers.
